Biography

​Professor Joe Lee is the Directors of Simon F S Li Marine Science Laboratory and the Institute of Environment, Energy and Sustainability, both at The Chinese University of Hong Kong. He is also an Adjunct Professor at the Griffith University. He researches extensively on the trophodynamics and other functional aspects of tropical estuarine ecosystems, particularly mangroves, and the application of such knowledge to their conservation and management. He is the Chair of International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) Mangrove Specialist Group.
